I have this blogspot account before... but as usual me, I had forgotten the passwords and shit.
I normally top the year off with a resounding YAHOO!!! and list down all the stupid and enlightening things I've learned for the year. Took me a while to mentally squeeze out the stuff that I've psychologically tucked away for evaluation. But here are a few things I think has contributed to my overall maturity:

1) WHEN IN DOUBT...
- Order a Mojito - one of the last things I've learned last year. Thanks to good company. I can drink 4 glasses easily, and it's just lunch time.
- Take Vitamin C, 250MG every 4 hours for 3 days... that cold will most probably disappear (am not a doctor, but this works for me)
- Listen to Tiger Woods: JUST DO IT!
- Let a GUY deal with the plug and the socket - at least if someone screws up, a guy has no excuse for that specific failure...
- Fake it til' you Make it - self-explanatory. If you know what you want but don't know how to get it, sometimes, lying is the best policy.
- Twilight is always the worse choice
- ..........RUN!!!!!!!
2) YOU KNOW THE SAYING....
- Sure you know the speed of light.... so what's the speed of dark?
- Hate is for Hitler.
- There is no such thing as a free lunch... but there will always be free beer.
- The taller the person, the slower they run.
- Rainbows are really just gay clouds.
- Beauty is just skin deep... but UGLY goes down the bone.
- The early bird gets the worm... but the second mouse gets the cheese.
- The early bird gets the worm... lesson is, don't be an early worm.
- Everybody is somebody else's weirdo
- Never argue with an imbecile... People watching will not know the difference.
- If you really want to try smoking...go big and smoke pot.
- "I don't carry my own bench"
Some of My New Favorite Things
I learned that hard way that Winter really does damage the face's complexion. I have been concentrating on the other parts of body by using only the best locally handmade goats milk soap and shea butter balms to quiet down another eczema outbreak, that I totally forgot about my face.
One day I went to school and made a detour to the bathroom before class. Our bathroom is just white-lit to show you in glaring reality all the imperfections in your face. I almost (almost! cuz' I don't believe in self-loathing) hated myself when I saw that not only did I look like I walked into a freezer and thawing uglily, but I was pasty and the dry skin just almost makes me look like a poor vampire reject.
I won't deny that with the Lord's masterplan of comically scrimping on my love life, He has generously compensated by giving me good skin. But even I have to admit, one cannot just stroll into Fashion School looking drab and expect people to take you seriously. Since I am not prepared to start spending to looking like Twiggy or Victoria Beckham, I'd rather be beautiful at face value.
I stumbled upon MIXOLOGY (www.mixology.com) while reading through some article about goody bags given away during Hollywood award shows. Mixology was being gifted to the stars because their cosmetics were vegan... and since everyone knows that I have started living an organic lifestyle... and oh I'll just cut and paste what their website said:

" It's Pure Vegan Mineral Makeup with NO cheap fillers, chemicals, synthetic dyes, parabens, or preservatives. Vegan friendly, virtually water resistant, perfect for sensitive skin, great for acne & rosacea. Won't clog pores so your skin can breathe! Dry ingredients so bacteria does not grow (if kept dry). Bismuth & Carmine Free! "
My friends would probably gasp in disbelief that I have actually warmed up into using some kind of make-up. Lesson is, when you live in a tropical country, you can always count on a tan to give you that healthy glow. Snow just gives you ugliness.
I am not a complete idiot when it comes to the basics ahahahahah. I know the wonders of a good foundation, blush, illuminizers for the added ooooomph, and lipstick. So I ordered some samples from Mixology. And by the 3rd day of using them, I am totally hooked.
Some notable products (that LASTS the entire day... just don't wipe your face like an idiot) of theirs that you may want to try out too:

MIXOLOGY'S wide range of FOUNDATION. I like it because it literally "melts" into the skin giving me that sought-for airbrushed look. It also effectively hides those annoying imperfections. This is honestly a wonderful product. I have used other healthy make-up like Ziiit and Body Shop, but Mixology's is by far AMAZING. It's not heavy and it doesn't look "powdery" and obvious when applied.
I use the Satin foundation.
I also use their AFTERGLOW MINERAL VEIL. It is a translucent mineral that actually gives you like a finishing glow that makes your face look supple. Your pores vanish, blemishes too, and the random dark spots.
BLUSHIES

I tried both their Just Peachy and Chica Blush, and love them both. I noticed the difference is that Just Peachy gives you that natural sun-kissed color (since it does have a coral-pink color), while Chica is that pink that we often look for in blush. Again, awesome product. For a while I always had a tube of Smashbox' O-Glow in my bag just in case I had to put my game face on. But I had to admit, Mixology does the job better. It also melts into your skin giving you that fine airbrushed look.
Their prices range from $7 to high 20's, $1 for pod samples (lasts you about 3-5 uses). They ship overseas.
